Comedian Bill Maher explained Friday evening how his insults towards former President George W. Bush were less disrespectful than conservatives’ behavior towards President Barack Obama.
Maher particularly highlighted Arizona Governor Jan Brewer sticking her finger in Obama’s face a few weeks back as the latest example of a growing trend. The Real Time host discussed how he wouldn’t insult Bush if he were near him unlike conservatives’ decorum with the current executive chief.
“Something unprecedented is happening with the way conservatives are disrespecting this president,” Maher said. “And I’m not talking about mere words uttered hundreds of thousands of miles away. Sean Hannity can say anything that he wants. No one looks to him as a model human being, or even a human being.”
“Of course I’m very guilty and actually proud of innumerable insults to former President Bush, calling him ‘a rube, a cypher, a @!$%# kicker, a yokel on the world stage, a catastrophe that walks like a man, the cowboy from toy story, Drinky McDumbass, and President Larry The Cable Guy.’ But I wouldn’t call him that to his face, and that is the difference.”

Maher has it half right. How about the disdain the conservatives have for the average "Joe Bag Of Donuts."
Insult Bush? The Bushies smashed into the ground The Dixie Chicks for having the nerve to express their opinions.
I too, have thought this for the past 13 months. The GOPTeaBags have not only made making him a one term President their only goal since January 2011, they have also made him the most hatefully and arrogantly disrespected and maligned President in American history as they have no shame in disrespecting him in his face, then making up some lame excuse for doing it. Jan Brewer's excuse that she felt threatened was really one of the biggest freaking lies that I ever heard, as take a look at the video. As Brewer and the President met when he deboarded the plane, they were also in the presence of not one, not two, but at least 4-5 burly men, some of them likely security guards for the President, who could have protected her against the President if he had decided to physically attack her. Scroll down here and watch the video if you missed it http://www.eurweb.com/2012/01/arizonas-gov-brewer-president-obama-the-finger/
Also in attendance were others from AZ, two of which denied Brewer's story that the President acted toward in a manner that made her feel threatened, and that he never threatened her in word or deed. So she just made up the crap to try to justify her sticking her finger in his face, as I am sure she realized that she would catch flak big time for it as soon as she found out that the whole thing was on video and would be seen by millions around the world. So she had to make up something to make him look like the bad guy while pretending that sticking her finger in his face was in self-defense to his threatening her. She tried to cover one shameless act with another, and tried to make it all the President's fault. As we know, the GOPTeaBags never take responsibility for their own actions, they always blame it on someone else.
That she was called on it even by the AZ people there at the time only made things worse for her and I feel sure she will find a way to make them pay dearly for their 'betrayal' by telling the truth. How dare they!!

Tink Arizona is only going to get better....sit back and comment when you see it
"Tink Arizona is only going to get better...."
I hope you're right, DS...and I'll be happy to wait. I just hope it don't get worse before it gets better
Thanks, DS. Do let us know what's happening there. It is always better to have first hand info that doesn't get a wax job by the media.

Joe Wilson screaming "YOU LIE" at the State of the Union Address comes to mind. That was just over the top. Perhaps one of the most disrespectul, impolitic stunt of partisan thuggery I've ever seen.

Joe Wilson's name and his words angrily screamed out loud at the President as he gave his speech before Congress in the People's House of Representatives that day will live in infamy in American history. I hope that his descendent's will find him and his despicable behavior and total disrespect of not only the the President of the United States, but, the office of the President, a part of American history they will be proud of. It is obvious that Joe Wilson is very proud of himself.
